The Chapter’s mission is to:
* Promote understanding of the principles and purposes of the United Nations, of the specialized agencies affiliated with the United Nations and the political, economic, social and administrative problems which confront these organizations in achieving their objectives.
* Urge full and active participation by the government of the United States in supporting the United Nations and its affiliated programs thereby increasing the effectiveness of these organizations.
* Encourage and support educational institutions to prepare students to become well informed citizens and leaders in an increasingly interdependent world.
* Provide educational leadership which encourages local and state governments, economic development organizations and others to support the goals and programs of the United Nations.
