Declaration of Human Rights, SDGs and Environmental Justice Presenters: Marie Adele Grosso, Terry Link, and Jeremy Orr This virtual event will offer presentations about the UN Declaration of Human Rights and the ways the Declaration is connected to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In addition, we will explore how the SDGs about Environmental Justice are related to our understanding of Human Rights. |
Marie Adele GrossoMarie Adele Grosso is an East Lansing high school student who is passionate about furthering peace and justice locally and in the world. In high school, she is in Amnesty Club, Student Council, in groups specifically addressing LGBTQ+ rights, racial justice and student mental health and in Model United Nations (MUN). |

Jeremy OrrJeremy Orr focuses on drinking water and source water protection issues, working to ensure that everyone has access to safe, sufficient, and affordable drinking water. With a background in grassroots community organizing and public interest law, Orr most recently served as the national state program director for the Peoples Climate Movement and as an environmental justice coordinator for the Transnational Environmental Law Clinic. Orr holds a bachelor’s, master’s, and law degree from Michigan State University. |
